RITC MOZ recently hosted a specialized SCBA training session, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, at its offices in Maputo. This initiative reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to operational safety and to building strong technical capacity within teams who work in demanding industrial environments.
The session was delivered by certified technicians with extensive experience in field operations and industrial safety. Throughout the training, participants engaged directly with the equipment and developed essential skills for the correct use of self contained breathing apparatus. The program covered equipment inspection, assembly, pressure checks, proper mask placement and response procedures for emergency situations that require breathing autonomy.
In addition to the technical demonstrations, the training emphasized quick decision making, effective team communication and strict adherence to safety procedures. Participants were guided on how to identify potential hazards and apply self protection techniques in confined spaces and hazardous atmospheres.
